Making them Float
For this project Artifactory3d was tasked by the company Bitwise with designing a series of high end awards to be given to Bitwise company partners. They required a fully polished award with unique, custom name plates that fit onto an existing floating base. We received an initial 3d design and floating base from the Bitwise creative team. After review and iterative rounds we locked in the final 3d model design and manufactured 6 versions. After printing we needed to balance the weight of the awards so they floated evenly. To do this we hid weights in the base, then sanded and painted each model with their chosen paint color. They floated beautifully!
We were provided a Crealev floating base from Bitwise for which we designed a snug fitting base that would adhere to the block with a custom name plate and fit onto the floating platform.
